It is the 40 meg version. I'd like to be sure I have the lasest software and firmware. On the interface card, I have the following: U13 EPROM copyright 1989 Rev VUL1.4GS40 U16 HDC1A.N U1 HDC3B.N U2 HDC2A-N I also have two disks (5.25 and 3.50) both are Version 1.4.2. The control panel says Vulcan 1.2. I have both the Vulcan User's Manual v1.21 and Vulcan User's Manual v1.21 Addendum v1.0. Do I have the "latest and greatest"? If NOT what is the latest and greatest? Is it worth the trouble to "upgrade"? Why would I want to upgrade this setup. I am ONLY considering upgrading the firm/software (NOT NEW HARDWARE). If needed, how can I get the upgrade. I'd like to hear from others who have the same drive. I'd hope they would share their experiences with me. Thanks. ---- ProLine: tomk@pro-nsdapple Internet: tomk@pro-nsdapple.cts.com UUCP: crash!pro-nsdapple!tomk ARPA: crash!pro-nsdapple!tomk@nosc.mil
